Gail Whiteman is the INCA, Student Program Director. She holds a BS in Agriculture Education and an MS in Science Education from Montana State University.
Whiteman is a life-long cattle rancher from the Apsaalooke Nation in south central Montana. She is a member of the Montana Invasive Species Council and the Crow Environmental Health Steering Committee. She also provides consulting and evaluation services for Indigenous Programs.
Whiteman’s goal for the INCA internship program is to promote and sustain an authentic learning path for Native Students seeking careers in Natural Resources or Production Agriculture, in order to promote self-determination for tribal members with USDA programs and natural resource management.
